Cheryl Buckley of Guilford wrote: “The product that particularly upsets me is balloons. Many are released at graduations and weddings and they end up in Long Island Sound or lakes. There should be an environmental tax upon purchase if people still feel they must buy these. I have spent a great deal of time pulling balloons out of waterways.”
